What's your dream? . . . 

Occur in the future that is not far from now, ten years before this story happened, appeared a kind of strange creatures like insects called Mushi. They attach themselves to the human brain and master it. There is no single way to know if a man has been infected, then a secret organization would come to an infected person is at night. The Mushi prey on their victims with a snatch of thoughts and dreams. Instead, that person will be given extraordinary supernatural powers that can only be used a few moments. On a cold and dreary day, a girl who appears to have fallen on roads covered with snow. A mysterious man dressed in black robes and wearing glasses weird dream girl asks what it is. Apparently she's quite surprising answer, they then exchanged promises. It later issued a mysterious guy, aim, and fired his pistol. Four years later, in the middle of the night wore on, Yuki, a boy who fear, was reading a conversation on a forum on the internet about mushitsuki or people infected with Mushi. Suddenly the bell rang right house at 4 o'clock in the morning. While his parents arguing on a mysterious boy who came to his house, Yuki trying to escape by jumping through a balcony room. Yuki then realized that he was in the midst of a strange battle between the giant insects. It seems that someone is looking for him. Yuki then rescued by Daisuke Kusuriya who has a nickname that is Kakkou. 

Furthermore, Kakkou been informed that a mysterious girl who has nicknamed Ladybird, was in high school and became one of the students there. Ladybird is the leader of Mushibane, a resistance organization that consists of mushitsuki rebels. Kakkou then posing as high school students to look for it.
Kakkou himself is an expert assassin and secret agent of the goverment-owned organization which is known as a Special Environmental Preservation Bureau [SEPB]. However Kakkou even deviate from the task given to him when he met a girl named Shiika Anmoto. Some time later, they become increasingly familiar. Although Shiika not realize it, it turns out they both had met before and Kakkou who introduced himself as Daisuke, had once promised him. However Kakkou also don't know if it actually is a fugitive from prison Shiika SEPB called the GARDEN, a place where a person is controlled by Mushi incarcerated. 

When they met at a park, four persons girl classmate Kakkou, saw him holding  Shiika. When about to taken home, Shiika, even refusing invitations Daisuke. Shiika looks like confusion, he explored parts of the city alone and hesitated between his feelings about whether he should continue to run away and hope to meet again with Daisuke. Once Shiika visit the house that once occupied with his family, Shiik a remembered past where he was taken by force from their families by SEPB.
At school, Daisuke who often daydreaming into ridicule of friends who saw him dating his girlfriend Shiika. A friend of his girlfriend who named Asami, invites her classmates to visit the dump to look for Mushi who was much talked about in the media. He felt that Mushi is a hideous monster.
Meanwhile, Daisuke in SEPB friend named Tachibana Rina, told that the Mushi-named Firefly winter, will be at the park Kaihin. Mushi was sought because he is Ketsurakusha, ie where Mushi mushitsuki within him had been killed but that person would look like zombies. According to Rina, winter Firefly has recovered but had escaped from GARDEN. Though winter mushitsuki Firefly is hope for others. Neither of the parties or Mushibane SEPB looking Shiika existence. What if Kakkou know? Is he going to defend Shiika as Daisuke, or will catch him as an agent of SEPB Kakkou?

Appointed from the same essay tittled light novel that illustration Kyouhei Iwai drawn by Ruroo, Mushi-uta now been raised to the glass screen into the anime series. Light novels have been realized in a magazine published by Kadokawa Shoten The Sneaker since May 1, 2003. Beat the Frog anime production that has aired from July 5, 2007 on WOWOW TV stasion is directed by Kazuo Sakai, while the character design was handled by Kanetoshi Kamimoto [Burst Angel]
